Our Mission Statement

Our mission at Equine Veterinary Services is to provide top quality lameness, reproductive and illness care coupled with superior wellness programs for horses in an effort to allow each individual horse to accomplish the competitive goals of their owners and the recreational value we all seek to have a happy, healthy and successful life.

About Us

Equine Veterinary Services (EVS) is a full-service veterinary clinic and breeding facility located in Terrell. Founded as an ambulatory practice in January of 1992 by Dr. Kenton H. Arnold, EVS was originally based in Sunnyvale, Equine Veterinary Services relocated a year later to its current location, a 38-acre picturesque facility located at I-20 and FM 2578 in Terrell, TX.

The entire EVS staff is dedicated to providing high quality, comprehensive medical care for horses in Dallas, Kaufman, Rockwall and Van Zandt Counties. The equine veterinary clinic focuses on performance horse lameness and reproductive issues as well as wellness programs for all breeds.

Kenton H. Arnold, DVM

Dr. Arnold holds degrees from Southwest Texas State University and Texas A&M University as well as a doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. An active member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, he writes for equestrian publications on issues related to the health and well-being of performance and breeding horses. Dr. Arnold has served as a regular columnist for multiple equine publications and was a Founding Board Member for the Texas Horse Park.

Dr. Arnold is an avid cutting horse enthusiast, competing on a regular basis in NCHA, and AQHA competitions. He has been a top ten finisher multiple times in both cutting and pole bending competition at the prestigious AQHA World Show.

Prior to establishing his own private practice, Dr. Arnold was an associate veterinarian with Equiplex Veterinary Hospital in Flower Mound, where he worked with Dr. Bobby Willard.

Dr. Arnold is a founding associate of Animal Imaging, an outpatient imaging facility which provides state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging services to veterinarians, located in Irving. Dr. Arnold currently serves on the membership committee of the Texas Equine Veterinary Association, where he is also involved with the organization's Equitarian Outreach Project in Guatemala.

Dr. Jennifer Wickline

Jennifer Wickline, DVM

Dr. Jennifer Wickline first joined Equine Veterinary Services as an Associate Veterinarian in June of 2012 after completing a professional internship with Reata Equine Hospital in Weatherford, Texas. She left the practice in December of 2014 and returned to Weatherford working with Dr. Leea Arnold at The Arnold Reproduction Center. In December of 2016 Dr. Wickline returned to Equine Veterinary Services. She has a life-time of equine experience as a competitor and owner, and prides herself on being a top equine veterinarian.

Dr. Wickline is a 2007 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University in Biomedical Science. She graduated from the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 with honors. Dr. Wickline was honored with numerous awards during her academic years including the prestigious Mattie & Ben T. Little Memorial Scholarship, William F. Egan Memorial Scholarship, and the Stevenson Center Memorial Scholarship.

Dr. Wickline first became interested in veterinary medicine during a co-op class her senior year in high school with Dr. Arnold at Equine Veterinary Services. It was during this time that her interest in breeding, equine medicine and lameness first became evident. Today she utilizes her vast knowledge of horses to practice high-quality medicine with a special flair toward emergency medicine.

Dr. Wickline is married to Steven Collins and the couple lives in Wills Point, Texas. They enjoy traveling the world together.


Carrie Benson

Carrie Benson, Office Coordinator

Carrie Benson joined EVS in October of 2018 as Office Coordinator. Originally from South Carolina, Carrie brings decades of client relations, office oversight and administrative experience to her position. Her love of horses started as a young girl while spending time with her grandfather. Carrie has been hooked on horses ever since. Her competitive equine background began with endurance trail rides in her youth and a stint in the ranch sorting arena as an adult. A natural in the veterinary office, Carrie understands equine owners and is a natural in our fast paced clinic.

Carrie and her husband Kevin live in Combine with their much-loved horses and dogs. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and baking, and spending time with friends and family.

Anna Vincent, Operations Coordinator

Anna Vincent joined EVS in 2016 as a Veterinary Technician and today serves as the clinic Operations Coordinator. Anna is a 2012 graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Animal Science and is a certified Equine Sports Massage therapist. Anna owns Quarter Horses and a palomino Belgian cross which she enjoys riding for pleasure with her family. An avid karaoke participant, Anna loves the sense of community among the people in the equine industry and is excited to work every day with fellow equestrians.

Maddie Frizzell, Veterinary Tech

Maddie Frizzell, Veterinary Tech

Maddie Frizzell joined EVS is the summer of 2016 as an intern, and now works with the clinic as a seasonal Veterinary Technician. She is an honors graduate of Rockwall High School and Oklahoma State University. Maddie grew up showing Arabians and half-Arabians, and says that is where her interest in veterinary medicine was born. She is currently attending OSU School of Veterinary Medicine.

Maria Granello, Veterinary Tech

Maria Granello began working at EVS in the summer of 2013 as a volunteer clinic intern. Today she offers superior horse handling and vet tech skills as part of her seasonal work in the practice. Maria has spent her life on horseback where she shows in eventing and dressage competitions. She is a graduate of the Episcopal School of Dallas. She is also an honors graduate of Sewanee: the University of the South where she received a degree in Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. Maria is currently attending the Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Lindsey Miller

Lindsey Miller, Veterinary Tech

Lindsey Miller is a graduate of Scurry-Rosser High School and currently attends Trinity Valley Community College. A horse enthusiast her entire life, Lindsey joined EVS in the summer of 2016 as a Ranch Assistant. Today she is a skilled Veterinary Technician here at Equine Veterinary Services that continues to love horses. Lindsey rode her first horse at four, received her first pony at six and has competed in speed events ever since. A self-declared animal lover, Lindsey cares for her chickens and a multitude of animals in her spare time.

Jailinne Venzor

Jailinne Venzor, Veterinary Tech

Jailinne Venzor has been involved with race horses most of her life! A true horsewoman, Jailinne joined EVS in August of 2018 as a Ranch Assistant was promoted to Sr. Ranch Assistant in January of 2019. Today Jailinne serves as a Vet Tech here at the clinic. Jailinne graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in 2018 with a 4.0 and is currently attending Cedar Valley Community College in their Veterinary Technology program.

Chloe Santos

Chloe Santos, Veterinary Assistant

Originally from El Paso and growing up in Laredo, Chloe Santos first joined EVS in the summer of 2019 as an intern. Upon completing her EVS internship Chloe joined the clinic staff as Veterinary Assistant. This Texas horse lover is quick to credit her Dad's interest in horses for fueling her own equine passion. Today with two Associate degrees in Horse Training Management and Equine Business Management from Lamar Community College in Colorado, Chloe is busy finishing her Bachelor of Science at TAMU - Commerce.

Katie Stockum

Katie Stockum, Veterinary Assistant

Katie Stockum began her career with EVS as a summer intern in 2018 and returned in 2019 as a Level 2 Intern. Upon completion of the full EVS internship program, Katie joined the staff of Equine Veterinary Services as a Veterinary Assistant. She is a graduate of Highland Park High School and currently attends Texas A&M University. Katie will graduate in May 2020 with a BS in Animal Science and plans to start vet school that next fall. Katie is a true natural with a horse and has superior equine handling skills.

Jim Arnold

Jim Arnold, Facility Coordinator

Jim Arnold has been a major contributor to EVS since 1992. Jim oversees purchasing feed and maintenance products for the clinic. He holds both a bachelor degree and masters degree from Sul Ross University. He is respected equine photographer specializing in cutting horse action, stallions and auction photography. Jim is webmaster for multiple organizations and businesses including Equine Veterinary Services. Jim and his wife Teri live in Rowlett, Texas.

Jordi Fann

Jordi Fann, Ranch Assistant

Jordi Fann is a recent graduate of Scurry-Rosser High School. She joined EVS in July of 2019 as a Ranch Assistant. Jordi focuses on equine care and facility maintenance in her position at EVS. She attends Trinity Valley Community College and hopes to eventual have a career as a veterinarian. Jordi loves horses and barrel races when time allows.

Jordi Fann

Tori Mallory, Ranch Assistant

Tori Mallory, a graduate of Wills Point High School, joined the EVS Team as a Ranch Assistant in 2019. Her passion for horses began as a child learning from her grandfather about raising race horses. After attending Texas A&M, Tori worked as a loper for several cutting horse trainers. She is passionate about the healing effect horses can have on a person's life.

Austria Arnold, Communications Coordinator

A life-long equine competitor, Austria Arnold is the EVS Communications Coordinator. A graduate of The Hockaday School in Dallas and a magna cum laude presidential scholar graduate of Baylor University - where she studied Journalism and Legal Reasoning. She has won multiple titles in the cutting pen including the 2014 National Youth Cutting Horse Association World Championship. In 2016 Austria was named to Team USA for the AQHA Youth World Cup in Tamworth, Australia - where she won both competitions and was crowned the 2016 Youth World Cup Cutting Champion. Over the years Austria has been honored with multiple AQHA awards - including youth high point cutter in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2017. Austria plans to eventually practice law, while continuing her cutting horse obsession.

Carroll Brown Arnold

Carroll Brown Arnold, HR/Marketing Director

Carroll Brown Arnold has been involved with EVS since its inception and is married to clinic founder Dr. Kenton H. Arnold. An award winning writer, Carroll has been published in multiple travel and equine publications, and is the former publisher of America's Cutter and America's Barrel Racer magazines. She currently writes for Carroll is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and has completed graduate work at the University of North Texas. She works with organizations in the non-profit and equine industries, while overseeing the IT, marketing, social media and branding efforts for the equine clinic. Carroll received her first horse as a 16th birthday gift from her parents and went on to fill the next thirty years competing in barrel racing, pole bending and cutting horse competitions. Today she enjoys cutting events with her husband and daughter Austria.
